Chillin at the Capitol

The Capitol’s visitor lounge.

With this years session of the Legislatures concluding at midnight Thursday March 11, I was sent to the Utah State Capitol to get some action shots of our representatives hard at work. I arrived an hour early and wandered around the Capitol photographing. All these images are in chronological order from my arrival to my departure.

To read more about the session read Pat Parkinson’s article here.

“Nice Day,” food machine.

Under the Rotunda.

Utah Junk.

Utah State Capitol Rotunda. I wish I could watch myself photographing. A few people walked by as I was taking this image, they stared at me with complete confusion on their face. A guess a tall guy shoving a 16mm lens against a marble wall looks weird.

Wedding Photography in the Capitol. Yes this is Utah!

Outside the Utah House of Representatives.

Top secret stuff.

House Speaker David Clark, center, and Curtis Oda, right, talk in the halls of the house.

Comfy chairs.

The House Represent!

This is how they do it! Representative Mel Brown killing it at work.
